What is a "2-4 pax" apartment?
The 2-pax apartments comprise one room only (bedroom/dining room) and are equipped with a double bed.
The 2-4 pax apartments comprise a double bedroom plus living-dining room with a double sofa-bed for 2 people. The bedroom is normally equipped with a double bed, although we also have twin rooms on request.
The 4-6 pax apartments comprise 2 double bedrooms plus living-dining room with a double sofa-bed for 2 people.
The apartments come fully equipped with sheets and towels. There is no daily linen service, however, unless contracted separately. For long stays, the maid service (including change of sheets and towels) is provided free of charge every 15 days.
What should I bring which I would not need if I were staying at a hotel?
Nothing. The apartments offer the same commodities as a hotel. For ecological reasons, our apartments do not provide toiletries by default (shampoo, bath gel, toothbrush). If you wish, you may request them on making your reservation, at no extra cost.
How can I find out exactly what is, and is not, provided in an apartment?
All the information regarding each apartment is available on-line. When you select an apartment, you will see written on the lower part of the main image "more details…". Click here and all this apartment’s details will appear: kitchen equipment, commodities, services, etc. Should you require any information not listed, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Reservations should be made on-line. Once you have made your reservation request, you will receive confirmation within 24 hours. If you prefer, you may also make your reservation by ‘phone (in English).
Is there a minimum or maximum length of stay?
No. Bratislavapartments allows stays from one day to one whole year. However, kindly note that even for stays of only one day, you will be required to pay for the final cleaning on departure.
Can I reserve a specific apartment or only the type?
Yes. Bratislavapartments rents specific apartments so that you may select the one of your choice from among those available. Only if needed, do Bratislavapartments reserve the right to change the apartment for one of equal or superior quality, without the client’s right to claim damages.
How is the rate estimated? What is the final cleaning?
Bratislavapartments charges only once for cleaning the apartment, which corresponds to the final clearing. You are thus assured the best price, since we do not include the cleaning in the apartment’s daily rate. It is the same system as the low cost vehicle hire.
Yes. Your apartment will be blocked from the time of the provisional reservation; but it will only be considered as confirmed when you have paid 30% of the cost of the stay.
Will I have to pay a deposit or guarantee?
On the handing over of keys, you should deposit a guarantee of SKK10.000 (aprox. €300, €1.000 for stays of over one month). This guarantee can either be in cash or by credit card and will be returned/cancelled on the last day. If there is any damage to the apartment not resulting from normal use, its cost will be deducted from the guarantee.
The balance, including extra services, is paid on the day of arrival at the time of handing over the keys. It may be paid in cash or by credit card.
Is there any extra charge to pay which is not stated in the reservation?
No. All the charges (stay, taxes …) are included in the price, so that there will be no last minute surprises.
Will I be responsible for cleaning the apartment at the end of the stay?
Bratislavapartments undertakes the cleaning of the apartment at the end of the stay.We only request that the apartment be returned in a normal state. For a stay of 15 days or over, we arrange a cleaning every 2 weeks of the apartment free of charge including change of sheets and towels. If you would like daily cleaning as per hotels or simply one extra, you only have to request it when reserving or give one day’s notice during your stay.
Yes. However, a cancellation involves some charges depending on the advance notice given:
More than 7 days’ notice: 10% of the cost.
From 6 days to 24 hours notice: 30% of the cost.
Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the cost
Bratislavapartments only admits pets in some apartments on condition that they weigh less than 20 kg. See “more details” to check which apartments admit pets. No supplement will be charged for a pet but there will be an extra charge added to the final cleaning. For pets over 20 kg we have some apartments with an interior patio or balcony available. Consult us for further details.
Is there internet/WiFi in all the apartments? How does it work?
Bratislavapartments offers WiFi internet connection in all its apartments. In order to access the WiFi connection, as soon as you arrive you should ask for the WAP code which will allow you to be connected throughout your whole stay. The internet connection service is free of charge. Should you require cable connection (LAN), consult us regarding exactly which apartments provide it, as not all are apt.
Can I contract daily clearing?
Yes. Daily clearing may be contracted either when you reserve or on arrival.
Is breakfast or any other meal included?
The price of the stay does not include breakfast or any other meal. If you wish, you may contract either the Breakfast Kit, consisting of a complete breakfast which you will find in your apartment’s fridge, or the Full Fridge service whereby you can request the basic food products you require before your arrival and find them in place when your apartment is handed over to you. Is there a reception? What should I do in an emergency?
Bratislavapartments does not have an actual reception but does provide a 24-hour telephone assistance service. On your arrival, you will be given a telephone number which you may call for any query, problem or emergency during 24 hrs per day.
How do I find my way to the apartment?
Bratislavapartments are located only in the city centre and so, with the help of the site map attached to each apartment, they are easy to find. Whether arriving by plane, train, bus or boat we can offer you a taxi service to fetch you on arrival and accompany you to your apartment. Please note that you should contract this service when making your reservation, but it is necessary to make the payment to the taxi driver.
When and how will I receive the keys?
When you arrive in Bratislava, a Bratislavapartments member of staff will come to collect the keys at the time you indicate. You should notify this time the previous day. On the final handing over of keys, the guarantee deposited on the first day will be returned. The apartment should be handed over before 15h for cleaning purposes. If the apartment will be vacant the following night, there should not be a problem in handing it over at a later time.
What is the procedure for returning the keys on the last day?
On the departure day, a Bratislavapartments member of staff will come to collect the keys at the time you indicate. You should notify this time the previous day. On the final handing over of keys, the guarantee deposited on the first day will be returned. The apartment should be handed over before midday for cleaning purposes. If the apartment will be vacant the following night, there should not be problem in handing it over at a later time.
